What Makes Tabling at the INDYpendent Show Unique?

First of all, clear your mind of every convention you've ever visited or participated in.  The INDYpendent show is a completely unique model and it may take a moment to get your head around.  To help you with supporting this new concept, tables for creators are FREE.  I just ask that you submit your information based on the requirements below to be considered for the event.  Space is extremely limited and submissions will be juried to balance all aspects of creativity.

Here are some basic key points that you must commit to for tabling at the show.
  • This is a working environment, so 1/3rd of your table space needs to be set aside to work on your creative projects.  While you will be working, you will also need to engage folks that visit your table.  Similar to craftsmen at an Artisan Faire.
  • The room at this particular venue for the Spring show is cozy, which is a nice way of saying small.  There is not a lot of space for huge banner systems or print displays.  Please stick to a simple banner either behind or on the front of your table.  Also plan on using simple displays for your books and merchandise.
  • You will be required to do 2 demos for 20 minutes each during the show.  This will be in an area of your choice and will be advertised to help drive people to your table.
  • I ask that you create a page for a special black and white coloring and activity book being created for Who's Yer Con.  This artwork will need to be completed by January 31st.  Information about the book is available to the right on this page.  Scanned page needs to be 300 DPI and scalable to 8 by 10.5 inches.
  • You will need to provide me with your two strengths that will be featured on special signage for your table.  This will help attendees get to know you as they walk around.
  • You will be asked to help spread the word about the show via your social media outlets.  Please plan on helping to promote this event.
  • I will need your bio, strengths, social media links, and JPGs of your work for your personal webpage on the INDYpendent Show site.  Please prepare these to be sent soon after you receive your approval for the show.
  • Tables at the show are 8 foot by 3 foot in size.

Details about the Who's Yer Con book!

As part of the sponsorship agreement to secure the room for the INDYpendent Show, I have agreed to put together a coloring and activity book featuring gaming and Who's Yer Con to capture the feel of the show.  I am happy to commit my time to the Who's Yer Con group to help promote their great event and also allow local creators have a place to share their talents with others.

The piece of art you provide will be part of that book, along with a listing of creators at the INDYpendent Show so folks can visit you for an autograph.

I don't want you to give up the rights to your work or even the originals, I would just like to use your art to supplement this cool book created for the show.  Your work will not be utilized for any future projects unless you give me your express permission.

My goal is to keep the print run very small, possibly offering it on Amazon for a short time and also having some copies at the show.  This is just a special release for this show and to help raise money to cover costs and promotion.  As a creator myself, I want to know how my work is being used when money is involved, so my goal is to be transparent with you about the process.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Please start the process by filling out the show interest submission form
