Brian K. Morris has considered himself a writer since 7thGrade. Along the way, he's managed to convince others of that fact, including publications such BACK ISSUE Magazine, Hogan's Alley, Knights of the Dinner Table, WHOtopia, The Krypton Companion, and many more too obscure to mention, as well as anthologies such as With Great Power, Malicious Mysteries, Metahumans Vs. The Ultimate Evil, and QUEST FOR THE SPACE GODS.
He's been a podcaster, comic shop owner, playwright, ad writer, inventory specialist, asphalt technician, and assistant mortician. Now, he's the author of such books as BLOODSHOT: THE COLDEST WARRIOR, SANTASTEIN: THE POST-HOLIDAY PROMETHEUS, CONFLICT: A STUDY IN HEROIC CONTRASTS, and VULCANA: REBIRTH OF THE CHAMPION via his Freelance Words imprint.
Under his new Rising Tide imprint, Brian's published the steampulp adventure, THE ORIGINAL SKYMAN BATTLES THE MASTER OF STEAM, based on the Columbia Comics/ACE Comics character. Just released is his half-memoir/half-short story collection, THE HAUNTING SCRIPTS OF BACHELOR'S GROVE, featuring three original tales of terror.
Not only does Brian write for a number of independent comic and book publishers, he's also the Editor-in-Chief for Silver Phoenix Entertainment where he's writing stories for THE HAUNTING TALES OF BACHELOR'S GROVE, based on a real-life haunted cemetery in the Chicago suburbs, and THE HISTORY OF THE POLICE IN AMERICA, a series intended to open up dialogue between those who enforce the law and the communities they serve.
He lives in Central Indiana with his wife, no children, no pets, and too many comic books. His weekly blog, NOVEL WRITING MADE LESS IMPOSSIBLE, appears at www.freelance-words.com.
